Karachi massacre: Who can cease the fire?

Perhaps, Karachi- the economical hub of Pakistan is under some jinxing effects. The jinx of selfishness, lawlessness, corruption , terrorism and surprisingly all these curses are human created. The inhabitants of the city are the most doomed creation on the earth. Despite the several possible reasons; the incompetent and venal politicians are the root cause of the catastrophe in the city of about twenty million populace.
Previously known as the ‘City of Lights’ is under the dark shadows of target killing, force money, looting, street crime and newly emerged scourges of sectarian and terrorism.  The deadly attack in Abbas Town (Karachi) yesterday has left 50 dead including women and kids and about 145 injured.
Is this not more than enough? Who will tackle this ? When it will become over once and for all? Apparently, these are unanswered questions and possibly no one has the guts to answer these. If the innocents’ blood is the guarantee of  peace then this city has sacrificed more than due but there is no symptom of melioration.
The power lords of the Karachi are enjoying the blessings of the ‘democracy’ with a new interpretation  as this government  is ‘of them, by them and  for them’ only.  The Pak Army has also its unjustified presence in the city as over a decade ‘Ranger Forces’ are fully failed to control the crime cum terrorism in the Karachi. The public has no role and right at all. Even the masses have no right to question on the non - provision of their basic right of peaceful living hood.
PPP, MQM and ANP  are ruling in the city. First time MQM is sharing power with the other two parties while this is the first time too when Karachi has paid the high price of this trio romance. Apparently this an obsolete argument that political parties have failed to show their due constructive role for peace and prosperity in the city. After a decade when the situation is even worse than before;  this discussion is simply a futile effort.  The police, rangers and other intelligence agencies are no more than puppets in the hands of their bosses. As when the innocent people were attacked in the Abbas Town and dead bodies of women and kids were on the road, the victim families were tossing  for help, the law enforcement forces were performing their duties on the engagement party of CM’s Advisor Sharmila Farooqi.
The political parties are traditionally engaged in blame game as they did before after every  afflictive incident. The Army is crystallizing his image as the General Kiyani expressed his consent few days before in an off-the-record meeting with Pakistani media gurus. The supreme court potentially can order to the ruling government for maintenance of law and order which is again a useless practice considering the attitude of current egotistic and clumsy government.
The ball is in public court to hit right for their future through voting power in the forthcoming election. They can take it as an opportunity to elect the capable representatives. For an immediate and  durable solution of disease; the public needs to show their political vigilance. Ideally this is a dream and biggest reality is that dreams come true on earth.
